Julie Vitale

Dr. Julie Vitale has served as Superintendent of the Oceanside Unified School District since 2018. Before moving to Oceanside, Dr. Vitale spent five years in Riverside County as Superintendent of Romoland. She has held a variety of positions throughout her career including: teacher, assistant principal, high school principal, C & I coordinator, and assistant superintendent.

In 2015, Dr. Vitale was named the Western Riverside County Association of School Managers Superintendent of the Year. She has presented at state and national conferences and is published on various topics including equity for LGBTQ students and staff, whole system reform, and instructional technology.
